Description

Des Moines is Grain Elevator Country and scattered around town are little engines... called Railcar Movers for tugging the loads and empties to and from the sidings where the NS, IAIS, BNSF, and UP drop them and pick them up.

This is a Whiting Switchmaster... I've previously posted a Trackmobile.

That first covered hopper looks to be a carbon black car .. actually all three look as though they may be carbon black cars. I don't tend to see those in my neck of the woods anymore, since the Firestone plant closed here several years ago.
