This afternoon the westbound Amtrak Southwest Chief leaves Naperville almost on time as the eastbound approaches about 90 minutes late.

Thanks. I ran off about 6 shots as they approached tweaking the zoom as they both moved. Because I was shooting in to the afternoon sun I was lucky to get anything.

i definately want to take one of the longer distance trains some time....ive only been on the Cardinal from connersville, IN to its end in chicago and back....that was a fun, but very long and exhausting day that i will never forget.

If you've put the pieces together from some of my pix you will figure out that I used to do that a lot... hop a night train to some place... hang around the yards and stations snapping pictures part of the day then take an evening ride home again.
