Traffic III

An eastbound Metra Scoot on the old Rock Island line pushes across the diamond in Joliet, heading back to Chicago. Pointing north, but also eastbound, a Scoot that just came in on the Heritage Corridor (ex GM&O) waits to back around onto the same rails and tie up in the Metra yard for the night. Drifting up to the home signal is a BNSF single unit pulling a string of empty well cars on the old Santa Fe TransCon.

The Heritage Corridor trains as well as the Amtrak Lincoln Service stop on the far rails from the station and dispatch holds all freights as passenger stumble across the gravel to the platforms and their cars... right past the Metra "No Trespassing" signs.
