Description

I'm a little tired of posting pictures of dirty engines on grey days... and jdawg asked me for "Warbonnets..." and since the AT&SF was my favorite road and these were my favorite engine....

At 3:15 PM CST the Grand Canyon is due in at Chicago's Dearborn Street station. On May 27, 1967 it showed up with a train that looked like it came out of a boxed set of HO models.

Even though the G.C. was down on its luck, it didn't have to appear as such. AT&SF still wanted a positive image instead telling all of us to drop off the earth.
