I've been holding on to this scan for months... another moment in time.
During the Franco era the US Air Force sold a few Phantoms to the Spanish Air Force and we did TDY's down there regularly to practice deployment and support the USAF "mission." We spent a lot of time in town and I took pictures.

Inside they were old but very clean. I am standing upright with my camera to my eye... and I'm taller than everyone else on board. I am being watched carefully by the Gardia and outside the streets are warm and pleasant.... May 1973.
