When photographing the CTA last weekend I was struck by the surreal appearance of this one skyscraper in the sun reflecting the blue sky. It looked to be completely separate, floating apart from the older, shadowed, stone walled canyon penetrated by the El.

No way!! I lived in Chicago last year! I saw this view almost everyday. I was attending the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago for digital photography. The Loop campus is at the end of this street, on the left, where the L makes the turn.

Good shot...good clarity on the buildings lining the street.
Have you ridden on the CTA's new cars? They are quite different than the old models...quieter..smoother.
