Late evening in Missoula... a crew moving an IC box waits for a string of freshly cut logs to clear the switch they need.

I wonder what this looks like today?

On the KCS consists, the loads for those log cars were abreviated to "SLOGS" as in saw logs. I thought that was funny, and referred to them as slogs thereafter.

i am fascinated by the clever names things get as the abbreviations evolve.... Sully is a master at this.
