"Dispatcher to UP 5267 East. Be alert to changing track conditions. There is severe weather in the area."

The sky looked rather interesting so I decided to go out and take some pictures.

Got soaked. :-)

FAQ #85: Can I be a volunteer on deviantART?

I remember once when I was taking pictures of trains after a fresh snow, and there were two other people doing the same thing...having to very quickly pivot away to keep the snow out of my camera.

I catch a lot of hell because I am the "foamer" on the job. I have been known to get the same response from crews no matter what the weather is.

I even managed to catch the look on the driver's faces once :XD: They were sitting in a maintenance vehicle with a nice big windscreen that took up most of the front surface, one can really see that "WTF?" look on their faces! :D

Getting nice shots on sunny days is good, but shots in rain, mist, snow and generally really bad weather are even cooler! :)
