Description

They called this color "Box Car Red" but to me it was pretty much the same color as rusty steel and I always thought the railroads chose it so that the public could not see how bad a shape the cars really were in.

This isn't a very good shot but Don :iconyankeedog: reminded me it by sharing this link to a restored P&LE crummy... and Megan :iconevilredcaboose: is watching!

This is the other end of the train at Busy Morning in Pittsburgh.

A moment trapped in time and as Robert said "P&LE and the NYC are all gone and won't ever return...", but you can still stand in the same spot and see the same bridges in the background and the muddy Mononghela too and more importantly you can still see and photograph trains and believe it or not, a caboose!
