Thanks to Dereck :icondeke8706: for the inspiration for this trip to Mississippi Palisades State Park today. A beautiful day... strong winds... fresh smells... hawks and pelicans above the river... and the trains trickling through.

LUCKY! I was at work all day today thinking it'd be a good day to be on The River. I haven't been out to shoot BNSF out there since St Paddy's Day in La Crosse :'(

I took a few shot up on Cresson Mountain that would put you in mind a bit of this shot, but without the water. We had a great vantage point above one of the tunnels. We were up there to shoot the NS OCS. Got some nice shots near AR Tower, Altoona and at Tipton, PA. I'll post them soon.
