Passing the Torch at CP Peck by classictrains Passing the Torch at CP Peck by classictrains
I saw these engines in West Chicago last week but they were too far away for a decent shot. Today, Easter Sunday, here they are eastbound from Global III with a short string of autoracks.

SD70Ms "Olympic Torch Relay" and "Salt Lake 2002."

For my watchers... in the faaaaaar distance is the bridge where Signals was taken looking towards this same spot.

It was a very good day. Fine weather. Clean train and a paint scheme I had never seen before.

Yeah but this came after 4 days at one spot with only one train (that I missed).

I understand that feeling completely. On my last three outings combined I've only seen one Amtrak. They come out when I'm not looking, I tell ya! :faint:

I love this spot for photos and I have to resist the temptation to take dozens of shots from this same view.
