Description

Whenever I'm killing time waiting for trains I look around for interesting or unusual details. Sometimes I'm surprised. The CP line through Wall, South Dakota is gifted with a lot of slow orders and I found this 98 year old rail on a track panel adjacent to the main line. The fact that it is there, bolted into a ballast-less siding, says everything about maintenance of that line.
