Gads! How boring. I stopped by the old Burlington Racetrack this afternoon and guess what popped up. Another of the BNSF's 1700+ C44-9W's (according to WesternRails roster.). The next one I post to devArt will have to be a pretty special shot for me to post it.

The third unit is way more interesting. Makes me miss the variety of the good old days... all GP9's and F7's. :-)

Oh! In case you were wondering... that's Yackley up on the bridge. You can get to trackside though a little forest in the back of a public park.

Great shot, but I do understand your point about the C44s. UP is the same way, especially with the unit coal trains. God they're monotonous. But I do get some spices in the flavors of SP bloody-nose C44s and some UP SD9043MACs. The locals are what keep me interested.
