Description

The EJ&E had a variety of engines, some hand-me-downs, some new. Delivered to the J in 1949, this ALCo RS-2 was off the roster in 1971.

We don't live very far from where the RS-2's were built in Schenectady, NY. Poor old soul. Our local, defunct for the time being, excursion railroad The Battenkill has a lovely RS-3 ex VTR built 1950-52. I should find one of my old shots of it if I can.
