Really nice shot, but those rails just so need to be cleaned once in a while The sand kinda reveals that the dirt sometimes hinders the engines from getting proper grip when departing.
The C&NW was known for its' "deferred maintenance" on anything not a main line. The UP has had to put a lot of money into repairs and upgrades since they took over.
