Evening Light

One of my favorite rail theme photographers here on DA is Sully. He has a talent for taking advantage of the daylight and the dark at certain times of day that I would like to be able to emulate. If you aren't familiar with his work, I encourage you to take a look.

Here just as the sun went down last weekend an eastbound BNSF doublestack on the old Santa Fe TransCon crosses the diamond in Joliet and crawls by the platform. It was held at the home signal on the other side of the diamond until the preceding Amtrak Lincoln Service from St. Louis on the UP cleared the platforms.
