Baldwin DRS 4-4-15 by classictrains Baldwin DRS 4-4-15 by classictrains
The Northern Pacific owned only 2 of these Baldwin beasties and here is one out standing in it's field near East Pasco Washington in the summer of 68. These were also classified as AS415.

P.S., I love this sky!

There's something about Baldwin diesels that are distinctly different from everything else. They seem to have more character.

OOOOOOOO, an NP Baldwin! This one even made it to BN...assigned BN number 406. Hey, it even got its BN number [link] NP also had a DRS6-6-15 that made it to BN. I've seen a couple of pictures of it with its BN number 407 stenciled on the cab. I think NP was the only road to contribute one unit orphans to the BN roster like that (NP also contributed one FTA, one FTB and one S6. SP&S came close, I think they had two FA2s). NP was also the only one to contribute Baldwins (DRS4-4-15, DRS6-6-15 and VO1000s), although none of them saw Cascade Green.

Oh to have been born 35 years sooner...
