One of the sweet things about the IHB in the 60's was that it was a great place to see run-though traffic from almost any Chicago area railroad. On yet another cloudy day in Broadview here are a clean pair of B&O GP30s... probably returning to Clearing Yard after swapping trains at Proviso (NorthWestern) or Bensenville (Milwaukee).
I was a bit of an idiot at that time... good things the trains move slowly through here. I'm standing on the middle track with a train on each side of me going opposite directions.
GP30's are my all time favorite Geeps! I see one every once and a while on CSX in Pittsburgh, but I haven't gotten a chance to shoot any photos of it.
